Nieva is thrilled to have been accepted into the Kirov Academy of Ballet Summer Intensive in Washington D.C.
We have been planning and saving for out-of-state summer training, but an Academy as acclaimed and prestigious as the Kirov is costlier than most other dance programs - and deservedly so. Each summer they only accept around 160 students to this training. Additionally, there are travel expenses to consider, as well as spending money, and standard dance equipment: pointe shoes, tights, leotards, etc.
Nieva is also pursuing some scholarship opportunities, though not all of these will provide results prior to the tuition deadline. And every little bit helps - from spare change here to a few dollars there - it all adds up to help support this talented dancer's amazing opportunity. If you prefer not to donate online, please contact Aliselina for a mailing address.
In addition to this general fundraiser, you can also support Nieva while enjoying great coffee! Visit Nieva's JoCoffee fundraising site for more information.
Of course we understand that while everyone is proud and excited for Nieva to have this opportunity, not everyone is in a position to help - and that is just fine! Should you wish to send her a note of encouragement, please contact me for her e-mail address - she appreciates your kind words and well wishes. Support comes in all types of forms, means and formats.

For these things, we are saving a few dollars at a time with candy and coffee sales, and the now-traditional early summer yard. . . . .
