The Poms 200 Mile Homeless Fundraiser

On the 27 September, with the hope of raising as much money as humanly possible for the homeless and less fortunate members of our Gold Coast family, I shall be taking part in the Nerang 200 Miler.

This an event which requires participants to complete a course of 200 miles, approx 322km, made up of 12 'and bit' full loops of a 25km course out at Nerang state forest, with an overall elevation gain of 11640 metres.

......oh yeah, and all to be done within 96 hours.

There is nothing easy about this. The mental side will be as equally, if not more, demanding as the physical side.

But I wouldn't expect you to part with your money for anything less.

So where will your donation go?

As a lot of you know there is a constant demand of items needed for our homeless friends. Suitable clothing is something we can all help with just by taking the time to go through our own wardrobes from time to time.

But what we don't always appreciate is that with each changing of the seasons often comes with it its own set of specific challenges for our Homeless friends.

So on behalf of yourself and all your fellow donator's, I will be using all the money raised through this page to create care packages for our homeless friends as we enter into these warmer months. Within these packages will be Toiletries, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soaps, deodorant, insect repelant, underwear, thongs/flip-flops plus more......basically the sort of things that are essential but just not your usual donated items.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and please remember, the homeless people you see, they are still a parents son or daughter, or even someones brother or sister. So lets help them the way we hope somebody would help a member of our own family if they ever found themselves in a situation less fortunate
