Nicaragua Medical Relief

We are a team of interdisciplinary healthcare professionals that is comprised of pharmacy and medical students, physicians, pharmacists, and general volunteers. Together with DOCARE International and Just Hope we serve an area of Nicaragua called Chacraseca, a rual farming district that is comprised of 11 counties.  We serve the area of Chacraseca because they are in dire need of medical attention. Currently there is only one physician in the district of approximately 8,000 people and 1,500 households. There is only one main clinic in Chacraseca and therefore reach out to the community by setting up mobile clinics in open-air schools and in homes of community leaders.   Our team has been able to organize a yearly trip to Chacraseca due to the participation of volunteers and generous contributions. We fundraise and receive donations for all necessary trip supplies from osteopathic manipulation tables and first aid supplies to medications, eye glassess, and diabetic testing supplies.  Please visit the DONATE tab in order to discover ways to help our team get medical attention to those in Chacraseca.
