New Zealand Venture

Inferno 2016

In January 2016, Inferno, the 13th New Zealand Venture, will be held in the volcanic Rotura, New Zealand with two weeks of crazy activities and exciting events. A 'Venture' is the biggest national event in the Venturer section of Scouting, and is to a Venturer what a Jamboree is to a Scout, but all the more exciting and flexible. The Venture is all about meeting new people from different places and making life long friends, all the while growing as a Venturer and learning about yourself and your independence.

Making up three sections, the Australian Contingent is granted the option of an additional pre-tour lasting  seven days along with the Venture and post-tour. The pre-tour traverses most of New Zealand and consists of countless scintilating adventures, before Phase One of the Venture begins, an expedition of our choice in any part of New Zealand. Following this is Phase Two, consiting of on-site activities with fellow venturers, and finally, the post-tour.

The New Zealand Venture is an amazing experience for young Venturers and a brilliant learning experience, unforntunately the prices are expectedly high.

The Venture and post-tour costs $2420, as well as the cost of the Phase One Expedition, which could cost anywhere from $300 to $900. On top of this, the optional pre-tour, which is an impecable opportunity and will be an amazing adventure, costs a total of $1350, as well as the flight surchase for travel from a different airport and the cost of getting a passport.

In total, this amazing experience could cost as much as $5000, which, without your help, could well result in my innability to attend the amazing Inferno and enjoy the learning experience and countless adventures awaiting me.
