New Zealand Coast and Waterway Conservation

This summer I'm traveling on a volunteer trip to help with the coast and waterway conservation group in Auckland, New Zealand! My dream has always been to explore new cultures and make an impact somehow, no matter how small. The trip will consist of work alongside natives and working on restoration work. By gaining insight into the Maori culture, I hope to gain a better understanding of conservation and how to improve the environment when I return home. Plastic pollution is also a worldwide concern and I'm very humbled to get to work hands on with this issue along the coast of Auckland. This trip is a huge passion project of mine and I can't wait to dive into the new culture, but money tends to get in the way of that dream, as traveling can get a little expensive so if you can help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated!
