Campaign Story
As you may know many people are still trying to recover from Hurricane Maria. This particular little 7 year old girl, my parents met while taking food and supplies to them. Her mother is a single mother of two, she was born with brain damage and has developmental delays as a result. She is unable to walk straight since her left foot curves in and her spine is not aligned. She does attempt to walk but only if she holds onto a wall. She is confined to the wheelchair in the picture. This chair was donated to her when she was 4 years old. However, she is outgrowing it. Her thighs are irritated and has a hard time sitting in for long periods of times when she is tried. While her mother could have asked for assistance to fix her home, her wish is to get her a new wheelchair which she does not have the funds or means to do so at this time. Her father does not accept her due to her disability and does not contribute to her care. If someone has a wheelchair or can donate whatever little funds they can we would appreciate it. I will try to pay for shipping to send it to Puerto Rico. If you live in the Connecticut area, I will pick it up. Thank You and God Bless!
