Campaign Story
This campaign is aimed at preserving Australia's taxonomic treasures. For many years large collections of well curated and highly specialized natural history has been lost to the open market as dealers buy up collections and disperse them. The sad part is that all of these collections contain material that is highly significant and often new to science.
This campaign seeks to raise finds specifically for the purchase of collections that are on the market so that they analysed and fully recorded and all range mentions of new species and taxonomic checklists will be published within 12 months.
I wish to found a small research institute based at JCU. It is to be focused on the basics of how we go about naming things in nature.
We have proven results finding new species in collections here are some of our teams papers:

Rewards
A printed copy of the report of the collection contents
In order of time of donation, any new species will be named after the donor (we estimate to have access to approximately 100 to name in reserve not from the collection we seek to obtain).
