New prescription glasses

Hi, I need new prescription glasses badly and could not afford them. I am currently 1125 degrees shortsighted or -11.25 which makes me medically blind. I am currently an undergraduate and being this shortsighted disrupts my learning in the classroom. Besides that, I am unable to distinguish faces when they are not within 5 feet in front of me. As most people know, getting new prescription glasses can be very expensive especially in Thailand, and due to being this shortsighted, I would need to make my lense as thin as possible so that it can fit in the frame of the glasses and not that heavy to hurt my nose.
