Campaign Story
Hello, my name is Lottie. I am a two year old greyhound who was abandoned as a pup because of a leg injury. The rescue people saved me from being PTS and I went to live with my new family.
Just after I went to live with my new family I suffered a FCE (spinal stroke) and lost the use in my back legs but with lots of love and care from my family they got me back on my 'legs' and enjoying being alive and having fun.
Unfortunately the old injury to my leg has got worse and I cannot walk very much and it is painful. The pet doctor says the only thing to make it better and to keep me walking is an operation. They want to fit a metal plate (carpal arthrodesis) and say this is the only option and because I had the injury when I came to my family it is not covered by my insurance.
If you can help then please, please do as I only have one good leg left and I'm too big to be carried! X
