Laptop for my 3rd year of university

Hello, my name is Kristína, I live in Slovakia and I am a 3rd year Media communication student. Up until 2 weeks ago I had a working laptop, it was old but it was enough for almost all my work for school. Sometimes I had to use the computers in school, because my old laptop wasn't able to run some programs I needed for my graphic design classes but overall everything was good. Two weeks ago, my laptop stopped working. I took it to the repair shop but they said it would cost more to repair it than to buy a new one. Now, I already found 2 summer jobs in hopes, that I will be able to earn money for a new laptop before the semester will start in October, but as a student, I am not legally allowed to work more than 20 hours a week. In my jobs, I earn 2.50€ an hour (approximately 2.8 U.S. dollars). So even with working for 3 months straight, I will only be able to save half of the money I'd need to buy a new laptop (600€ for 3 months, from July to October). I want to buy a better quality laptop, so it will last me for the whole course of my studies, up until my Doctoral degree. I am not asking for the full price of the laptop, because I wanted to be able to fund at least half of the price of the laptop (I am planning to get a 13inch Macbook Air with 256GB of storage, which currently costs 1400 € with a student discount).
