New laptop for a cause!

Dear family and friends,

Many of you know me as someone who will re-use and recycle anything and everything. Well, folks....there comes a time in a product's life when it really has reached the end of its tether. My laptop is dying on me - it is my best buddy which has seen me through several campaigns, proposals, reports, strategies, planning on projects that help communities and human rights defenders across the globe.

For 9 years, my DELL Inspiron was my bridge to you my family and close circle of friends - sharing photos, videos, stories and poems. I shed many tears and harked on many laughters because of this laptop of mine. Like everyone else, our laptops are our lifeline.

If only mine could speak, it would tell you how many local communities and landless people I supported directly and indirectly through campaigns. It would probably spout colorful expletives heralding my beautiful poems and songs I secretly created together with it. It would speak of.....

....the many organizations I talked to and helped through its bridging power!

.... of the joyous skype conversations I have had with my family - it practically was my lifeline back home

.... my hopes and dreams and passions and joys and heartaches

.... my passion for justice and human rights and how I would give my all to do what I can do to support our sisters and brothers who need our support

And I want to do more of these....I intend to do so. However, right now - as an activist starting up a new organization, I am cash strapped and I need your support. To do this,  I need to earn my keep and to earn my keep....I need a new ally!

A new laptop that will last me once again for numerous years!  To do this - I need your support. Any small amount you can share will literally mean not just saving my livelihood and lifeline but more importantly, to indirectly help those I help across the globe.
