NEW HOME AS 100TH BIRTHDAY GIFT FOR LOLA

Hi! I am planning to build a SMALL, NEW HOUSE for my Lola Rosing (my maternal grandmother) as a 100th birthday gift to her in August 26!!!

Currently, she is living with my maiden auntie who is already a senior citizen. They live in Bukidnon, Mindanao while I, the granddaughter or my family lives in Quezon City. The last time we had the chance to pay a visit was when I was 4 years old. Unfortunately, we do not have enough money for the travel expenses so I only got to bond with my aunt and lola mostly through calls and videocalls.

My auntie is the only one who is taking care of my grandmother. My aunt has no permanent source of income and she only depends on donations from our relatives.

I cannot imagine how hard it is for a senior citizen to accompany my grandmother with that kind of situation. They need healthy food especially milk for lola and a good shelter. Recently, I have heard that their little house (which is not theirs), has holes in the roof as it is only made of thin iron sheets (and now is rusty). Meaning, now that the rainy season has started, they are getting flooded inside the house.

Whenever I am hearing about their situation in the province, my heart gets broken. We do not have enough money to visit and now they are having a hard time to live a good, smooth life.

With this, I am asking for your help. I want to raise a fund to build a small house for my aunt and grandmother. I have already asked a carpenter the cheapest and fastest job he can offer to build a 35 sq meter house. He has given me a total cost of 45, 000 PHP (materials already included). To apply for electricity and water meter, we will be needing around 5,000 PHP. About the lot, there is a relative who has already donated. (God is good!)

I hope this idea will be a really good help for my aunt and lola as she is turning 100 this August 26. I need your help especially it is really horrible to hear that they are getting flooded.

I did not set a deadline for this fund-raising post as the amount we will receive here will serve as a support to the daily expenses of my lola!
