Mission Statement
The primary mission of the basketball program is to provide an environment of organized competitive basketball to those who may not typically receive the opportunity. We believe that all things come through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Christ’s blessings towards us, we wish to offer it forward as a blessing towards the community. Our areas of emphasis are team and community development, basketball skill development, life skills development, and overall character development. All of these areas of emphasis will be taught based on the foundation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through this we hope to build future leaders of all neighborhoods of the city of San Francisco.
2014 Season Review
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we were able to extend the opportunity to play competitive basketball in Northern California to more than 30 students. This more than doubled those who we were able to reach the previous year. We were also able to grant many of our players the opportunity to play in travel tournaments for the first time as an organization. This was one of the highlights of our season on the court as we were able to travel down to Anaheim, California and come away with a championship. Lastly, we got a chance to bring a handful of players to experience a unique week away at Woodleaf - A YoungLife Camp, capping off a great summer with reflection and relaxation before the school year started.
2015 Outlook
We would like to offer our unique opportunity to more players in the area. We are also looking to take our competition to the next level by offering more tournaments where we will travel and play against teams from other districts as well as other states. As always, we look forward to reaching our players with the same four main opportunities: to compete at a high level of basketball, to build relationships with fellow students, to be mentored by positive older male influences, and to be part of a family that has been founded on the Gospel.
