Campaign Story
Personal: I am a disabled veteran of the United States Air Force. I have 2 deployments to Iraq. My first deployment I was blown up. This deployments injuries were a broken Ankle, tore cartiledge in my knee, TBI and PTSD. That did not stop me. I finished the deployment to make sure ground forces were safe, and the Kurdish people were safe. In 2007 I volunteered to go back The terrorist killed people from all over the world and I wanted to retaliate for those people. I was exposed to the burn pits whcih destroyed my lungs. When I returned I was unable to hold on to a job, it took all of my savings to put food on the table. I had been investing all my but for my retirement. I had to use my investments just to get by.
Dreams for the future: A dream of mine is being able to build a large barn to house abused animals. I would also like to train abused and neglected animals to be service animals for injured military. I presently take in dogs of deployed miltary
Needs: My furnace has to be replaced before the end of October when it starts to get cold. Here in Michigan it gets brutally cold. I live in the country and the choices are LP or wood. I would like to get a woodburning furnace. I have quite a few trees that I have to cut down on my property lines. At this time with my mortgage it is very difficult to buy groceries. I can not afford to replace my furnace. My son and I live in the country where we help homeless, and injured animals. At present I am taking care of a deployed service persons family pets two dogs. `
