New Father, New Kidney, New Hope. Help Angel's Medical Fund.

I have been a dialysis patient for the last 4.5 years (twice a week) I have been given a 2nd chance on life on April 9, 2019 through a kidney transplant at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI). It is my new birth date. I have been listed at HOPE foundation at (NKTI) waiting for a donor for 4.5 years and my blood type (AB+) is quite rare to find a match with. Though I am a universal recipient, I would be the last on the list due to the rare blood type.

On April 8, I was called during my dialysis at 8pm to pack my things and go straight to (NKTI) because they found a match. The man who i considered a HERO was 49 years old businessman from TayTay Rizal and was blessed to get one of his kidney on April 9, 2019. The transplant was a success and my creatinine went from 10 to 2.2. To have a kidney transplant in the Philippines would cost at least Php 1.5M to Php 1.8M

The hospitalisation costs which includes the laboratories, professional fees of the army of doctors, the private nurses who helped me prevent infection and my anti rejection pills which will be my lifetime medication will ensure that my new kidney will adapt to my body. Just like other kidney transplants, I expect a bill of Php1.5M to 1.8M.

I have been in financial strain since Aug 2015 when I started my life with dialysis at Hemotek Shaw.

I am knocking on your generous hearts to give me a 2nd chance for a better prolonged quality of life with my kids; Mateo Skyler (2 months old) and Cassandra who just turned 1 year old last March.

It's a very humbling experience to ask for financial assistance from friends or strangers but I need to at least try and do whatever we can to give me a long life.
