Campaign Story
Dear Dharma Friends and Supporters,
Nyingma Palyul Urgen Dorjee Chholing would like to request your help with the growth and development of its Elementary and Secondary School in Nepal. The school is under the patronage of His Eminence Khenpo Sange Rangjung Rinpoche.
The education our school provides is a blend of Buddhist philosophy and a modern curriculum based on science, math, English, Nepali and Tibetan.
Students range from the age of four years old to eighteen years old or from Pre-Kinder to twelfth grade.
In 1994, when the school was founded, it had 21 students. It currently has over 600 lamas, monks and children.
Due to the growth of the school, the school educators have drawn up a strategic plan to construct a new educational and living facility for the young students who are often from extremely poor and disadvantaged families.
The building which is presently under construction will be upon 17.000 square feet and house approximately 200 children.
Due to an international effort and the generosity of people like yourself, the money has been secured and construction has begun on the first two floors.
Additional funds are needed to complete the last three floors. It is calculated that in order to complete the third and fourth floors $282.596,68 US Dollars will be needed.
We would greatly appreciate your support in helping with this worthy project destined to improve the life and well-being of hundreds of children over the coming years!
