Never Say Die: Eng’s Battle for Life

Hello everyone! I am Ma. Lourdes Morong or "ENG" as my family and friends call me. I am a single mother of an 18 year old soon-to-be-dentist daughter and is now starting to fight for my life. Last March 24, 2017 the 3 month old solid mass in my mons pubis has been removed successfully and after biopsy, the doctor told me that I have then a Malignancy Small Cell Round Tumor, a type of Sarcoma or soft tissue Cancer. So to verify it, we did the Immunohistochemical Analysis to another hospital thus, they confirmed that I have this so called Epithelioid Sarcoma.

The oncologist explained to me that it is a rare kind of cancer mostly for male and said to be for young adult one. It is normally found in bones and/or muscles on extremities (hand/forearms) and even on thighs or in the soft tissue of the organs. Commonly it is an intraabdomen area that is being affected For the cause, they still don't know it yet until now but they consider the genes especially if there is a cancer history in the family. It is said to be a 1% chance of getting this out of 100,000.

On my case, the rarity becomes more rare since the solid mass or tumor that I had was in mons pubis, the lower abdominal part and it is on the outside. What stage now? None! As per the Oncologist, it is either the cancer cells to be spread out or not...

Further tests like complete blood tests to know if vital organs are being affected and CT scan with contrast are needed to check further the status of this monster in me or if there is a metastasis already. Unfortunately, in less than a month, there is a recurrence of the tumor on the same area just an inch above the surgery so... a surgery with wider margin is in need AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Chemotherapy and Radiation therapy will come next so it will be a tough battle especially on financial side.

My health card for this illness is already max out so I need to shoulder everything... all the expenses for the next procedures. I already completed all the requirements to be submitted in different agencies here but still need to wait. for how long? I have no idea. :(

That is why I am on this page to ask for financial help with prayers of course. I am hoping people will notice this and help me. I have pertinent documents to support if ever there is a need to show it to whoever will need it.

For now, the assistance that I got from some of my friends is used for my healthy foods wherein now I am into raw veggies, organic foods and soon to start juicing veggies as it cures cancer as per further research.
