Network security lab

Getting my feet wet in network and computer security. I am trying to build an adequate security lab that will enable me to learn the more deeply tecnhical aspects. I am especially interested in malware analysis, advanced threat prevention, security monitoring, and incident handling/reponse. If I can build this lab and learn learn what I need from it's use, I will be happy to share the wealth of knowledge I will gain and share any available tools and processes that would help benefit other freely as well, as I believe this is one of the most important aspects of information systems. Also, when done with the lab, I can make it accessible remotely for others who are interested in learning more about networks and security, for free. I will also be posting tutorials on my youtube account forothers to learn from.
