Netbooks for Hardworking Staff

I am part of a program that conducts training and workshops for religious and lay people in the Bicol Region here in the Philippines. Participants come from near and far-flung parishes in the area. Although I am involved in the program, I am not a full time staff. I only come in when I am needed since I only help with the IT needs of the staff. I also handle computer-related topics during workshops. We've covered topics from basic computing to crowdfunding over a period of 3 years so far. The program still has 2 more years to go and it needs a lot of help financially.

Until recently, the 4 full time members of the staff have been using netbooks for their work. The netbook was the computer of choice since all of them are always on fieldwork visiting parishes and other areas. Unfortunately, the netbooks have gone kaput and the staff have resorted to internet shops to accomplish most of their reports and correspondences. Sometime they even have to  borrow computers when they need to print something on the fly.

I am disheartened by this situation since these ladies are very hardworking. They are kind people who would even spend their personal money for transportation expenses of their participants. They are not paid much but what they have is an enormous amount of faith and dedication to their work.

This is the reason why I am asking for your help. We need to procure 4 netbooks for the staff to aid them in their work. Each one costs around US$ 300 - 350 or PhP 12,500 to PhP15,000 depending on the exchangre rate and item availability.
