Neos Koroivos Katsarou

Hello to all the world,

We are a small community (village) of less than 300 people,  in southwest Peloponneese in Greece. Close to Ancient Olympia.

We are an historical team because in 1983-84 we played in National league with players only from our village and with no money. Unique achievement in Greece. We love football and this team is the No.1 reason that holds this community united and strong.

Right now is the next generation of 1983 team's players with an average player's age of 23. We play in the second local league A2, only 3 leagues away from Greek Superleague! None of our players gets paid and all the expenses are gathered from the people that live in Katsarou (our village) and also from local sponsors who love our historical team.

Our biggest problem is the football field. We have tried many times to grow natural grass, proper for football but only achieved once(2011) and then again destroyed because we don't have the money and equipment to change the soil and put ready natural grass in rolls which is the best and permanent solution and the cost of this is total of 26.400euros. We have managed to gather over the last 3 years 4.000euros but we can't gather more, unfortunately.

Every week we lose 2-3 players from injuries because of hard soil. We are looking for help from all over the world in order to make our dream come true and play/train one day in a proper football field. We believe that every child from 4 to 40 years old :) deserves to play the game he loves properly.

In return we will send you our team's t-shirt for free to every person who will donate more than 100euros. We will make a wall with all the names of the donators and we will make a thank you video saying all the names and publish it in youtube. We know it's maybe nothing but it will be from our heart and soul. We will smile to you :).
