Hi everyone,

I am Jeeva, short for Jeevarupini.About 3 weeks ago,i rescued a litter of neonatal kittens(4 in total named Alpha,Emma,Rumi and Felix )whom i thought to be around a week old as their eyes havent open yet.

Urgent Donation Needed:

Rumi is being warded for aspiration pneumonia which is basically a build of fluids in the lungs due to foreign substance such as water or milk entering the lungs by mistake.

Now his sister Emma is showing similar signs as well and his brother Alpha is dehydrated. I feel that the only way i can ensure they survive is to ward them at the vet hospital Rumi is warded in currently.

However it would take all of my salary and saving to be able to ward Emma & Alpha leaving me with no buffer in case of emergency or even for daily expenses.

So here i am,asking for a funding to ensure that these 3 kittens get a shot at life,at the life i had dreamed for them the day i rescued them 3 weeks ago.

The current vet bill for Rumi amounting to MYR 838(approximately USD 200)

Alpha(black) & Emma(White)

Rumi(with me)

Any excess receives from donation will be used to provide quality food and care for Alpha,Emma and Rumi.

If ,god forbid, anything happens to either Alpha,Emma or Rumi due to the fragile nature of neonatal kittens subjected to an illness, the remaining funds raised will be donated to a charity(SPCA Selangor & PAWS Malaysia).

Thank you for your donation and taking time out to support Alpha,Emma and Rumi through donations.

A little backstory:

I named them Alpha(male),Emma(Female),Rumi(Male) and Felix(Male).

With the help of my boyfriend, who cared for them day and night, these kittens started to gain weight and progress along well.

We bottled fed them kitten milk replacement, poop and peed them during every regular feeding and kept them warm.

However ,since last week monday, the kittens have been ill, starting with Alpha having constipation on saturday(got him to the vet ,and after being given meds to help him poop ,he was pooping again and feeding as usual.

Then Rumi stopped latching on and drinking milk on Sunday. We tried feeding him slowly but he would drink very little.

Then on wednesday morning,we took all 4 of them to the vet(our local vet wasnt open that day ) and they were given an examination and worm medication and we were told to just monitor them at home.

Felix at that point was showing signs of lethargy and was drinking very little milk before going back to sleep.

We mentioned this to the vet but he told us to just monitor him and give him some glucose solution if he seemed tired as they thought it was due to a lack of energy.

Wednesday night, some of the kittens were having adverse reaction to the worm meds and were vomitting/having diarrhea but the vet assures us this was to be expected.

We noticed Felix was looking extremely tired wednesday night and so we gave him a little glucose solution as the vet recommended.

Unfortunately he died in our arms that night and we laid him to rest in the early morning of thursday.

On Saturday night,we found Rumi unresponsive in his playpen and his breathing was shallow.

We rushed him to the nearesr 24 hour animal hospital(most vets in Malaysia arent open 24 hours) and the vet said his condition was critical.

The health issue that he is suffering from is aspiration pneumonia which is basically a build of fluids in the lungs due to foreign substance such as water or milk entering the lungs by mistake.

Right now it had been a day since he has been warded and he seems to be stable in the oxygen chamber (used to help him breathe easier)and if all goes well he should be released tommorow night.

However his sister Emma is now showing similar signs to what Rumi was showing before his condition worsen.

We want to admit her and her brother Alpha (Alpha due to the fact that he isnt gaining weight and is dehydrated despite drinking milk regularly)to the same vet hospital her brother is in but as the cost of this vet hospital is really high,(So far Rumi's treatment itself is costing MYR 838 excluding meds)(A pic of the vet bill is included below)we are unable to afford it(My salary is only about MYR2200 which is roughly around USD 500 and my boyfriend is studying full time).

I would really appreciate your support and help in order to pay for Emma & Alpha' s treatment so that i can give these kittens a fighting chance and find them loving homes when they are older.

Even a small amount would contribute greatly to my cause and i thank you from the bottom of my heart as i know that Alpha,Emma and Rumi would thank you too for giving them a shot at life.

I put the end date for the funds at 9 march but if the donation amount can be raised ealier i would be very grateful.
