These group of children were picked from the streets of Akuse, Ghana by a young lady called Mawuse, a Ghanaian name meaning ''in God's hands''. They are either neglected by family or with no parents to cater for them. Mawuse now houses about 70 of such children and takes care of their every need, from food to cloths, hospital and education. She does all these with no funding. The only building that houses them is such in a bad state that at the slightest rainfall, the room gets flooded. All these 70 children sleep in that one room together with Mawuse and her other siblings who are helping her out. One would ask why Mawuse may be worrying herself catering for these children when there is no means. She tells us if she doesn't, who will? Since the Mawuse Care Center is out of the town, the nearest school is about 30 minutes drive from the center. And in the absence of any bus to convey these children, Mawuse has to spend about 50 Ghana cedis daily for motorcycles to convey these children to school and back. Now she tells us she is down on money and our fear is that the center might collapse sooner or later and these children may go totally wayward. We kindly need your support with any amount to fend for the needs of these children and to save the Mawuse Care Center. Please save our children and save the world.
