Campaign Story
My name is Florentino Reyes and I am an online freelancer and the sole breadwinner in the family with 3 kids. Me and my wife's canteen and Internet cafe went bankrupt during the pandemic.
Last September, I had undergone a CT (computed tomography) scan and was diagnosed with kidney stones. During the laser operation to break the stone, the doctor can not find the stone and I was told that I may have urinated the stone but my urine is still dark and the back pain remains and became paralyze from the waist down to my feet.
So my wife contacted my former surgeon who removed the rectal cancer tumor. Yes, I was a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with rectal cancer - stage 2 last 2013. I underwent radiation and chemotheraphy and wear a colostomy bag. I was operated on 2014 to removed the cancer and still wear the colostomy bag. On 2009 my stomach was re-attached and no longer wear the colostomy bag. I had no longer the cancer but the side effect is irregular bowel movement.
Now going back to the surgeon, Dr. Siegfred Yap admitted me to the hospital and after a series of x-rays and CT scan have found out that I have water in my lungs and have some problem with my spinal cord and scheduled for an MRI to determine what's causing the back pain.
The MRI result according to the Spine Surgeon, Dr. Maliwat maybe caused by damaged bone in my spinal cord and need an operation to put a metal instrument to fixed the damaged bone and also to determine if it is caused by a cancer or a TB and need rehabilitation to walk again after the operation.
Now I am in debt and need financial assistance.
Thank you in advance.
