Need your help! TNR and medical treatment for some of the most difficult cats in Istanbul!

I try not to ask for help. Unless I really need it. And now I do. Adding to my never-ending efforts with our TNR programme, I have been asked to help several cats: two with severe eye conditions, one with back leg problems and a very feral and scared kitten with a very bad calicivirus infection.

# Justin - Found him in Fatih in the deep alcove of the historic Byzantium wall where we drop off and pick up cats every week for sterilisation. You may have seen the post of his eye two or three months ago. He had his first eye operation which was not effective. Now he needs to have his eye removed with one week of post-operative care at the vet. Currently at Liva Clinic. 108 USD

# Nuray - a lovely young kitty dumped in summer at our cat houses. Back legs do not work properly, probably due to enlarged heart which means regular anesthetic cannot be used, she will need a gaseous one, and at least an X-ray to understand the reason behind her condition. 70 USD

# Moon Face - a tiny kitten with a severe eye problem donated to my care by the incapable and unenthusiastic local municipality vet clinic. They just called and told me to take her as they did not know what to do with her and could not treat her. Arrived home full of fleas and, after a deworming treatment, donated kindly by Dr Okan at Liva Clinic, where she was taken for examination, the longest, fattest, most disgusting bunch of worms came out of her tiny body!! Hopefully, the parasites will be the partial answer to her third eye lid problem. Ongoing medical treatment which will require a delicate and complicated eye surgery plus passport and plane ticket for adoption. 250 USD

# Grey - a small, frail, strange and highly feral and scared kitten with acute form of calicivirus, which makes it impossible for me to treat him at home. Picked up from the street together with his identically Russian Blue looking brother, in the hope of finding homes. The brother was adopted immediately, but Grey turned out to be sick and has been taken to the local vet clinic. Calicivirus needs two - three weeks of treatment. 100 USD

# There is always an ongoing need for some extra funds to be able to sterilise more effectively as some most feral cats HAVE to be taken to a private vet as dealing with them takes a huge amount of time and efforts and they are scattered across many different far away from each other areas of this huge city, they must be taken to the vet the moment they are caught, I cannot fix them with our TNR programme, I cannot afford to spend the whole day trying to catch a single cat. The amount for this is unspecified, there are around 10-20 cats like this around, and there always be more as I proceed. Any donation for this endeavour is wholeheartedly appreciated.
