Need Support for arrangements of drinking water and livelihood for community of UC Mirpur District Jhal Magsi Baluchistan

Union Council Mir Pur is situated in district Jhal Magsi of Baluchistan Province of Pakistan, which consists on 13 major villages and 9444 souls( according to senses 2017) The area is dependent on the rain because thier is know irrigation system or water. If directly rains or rain at mountain of Marri and Bolan hills they will get water. Since last decade they did not get hilly water because residents of upper part of this union councils in district Bolan have established dams and they store water in the moon soon season and than us water for agriculture purpose , the resident of this union council Mirpur unable to get water cumming from hilly area since last 10 years. unfortunately no rain in this area since last five years. This situation created extreme drought situation in this area. Mostly population of union council Mirpur depends upon the livestock but due to shortage of water their livestock is unable to survive and mostly the population is shifting towards Nasirabad district and Sindh for earning their livelihood.

Fortunately some of the villages have underground water and since last few years they have dug well and fetching water from the well for drinking purpose and for their livestock. As no rain since last five years in the area which created very critical situation and underground water gone deepen from 30 Meters to 100 Meter. Now the people are unable to find water easily , resultant forcibly shifting and leaving form their homeland.

They can be sustained if drinking water is arranged for them and their livestock through provision of solar tube wells. A deep solar tube well not sufficiently provide water for the drinking purpose but for small scale agriculture also for cultivating vegetable and fruits at small scale level. The land is very much fertile it only needs water and the inhabitants will cultivate vegetable and fruits without support of fertilizer and pesticide.

The inhabitant of this union council need support to install solar tube will in a major village Odhana which is surrounded by other 5 villages in the jurisdiction of 5 Kilo meter.The estimated cost of one solar tube well installation is abbot 25000 USD. This will sustain live and livelihood of almost six villages and 1200 souls living in these villages.
