Nathan Robicheau is in need of your love, support, and prayers.
On February 28, 2014, Nathan was hit by a car while riding his skateboard and sustained serious injuries while living in Hawaii. Nathan, 29 years old, suffered a C-5 spinal cord injury leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. Currently, Nathan remains in the ICU at Queens Medical Center in Honolulu where he is breathing through a ventilator. To make matters worse, Nathan also has a broken ankle and foot and is fighting pneumonia and other infections.
His parents have both taken leave from their jobs (5000 miles away in Boston) to be by his side and support him during this difficult time. Nathanâ??s and the familyâ??s goal is to bring him back home to Massachusetts where he can get the care he needs and be reunited with his four siblings and other family members.
All monies raised will go directly towards costs associated with Nathan's recovery. The most urgent need is to pay for transporting Nathan from Hawaii back home to Massachusetts which will cost approximately $70,000 and is not covered by insurance.
