Since 2014 the city of BENI D R CONGO and surrounding villages are facing permanently a humanitarian crisis following the conflict armies opposing the group armies, including the Uganda rebels and other local militias to security forces . More than 1800 have been killed and 2000 kidnaped including doctors and nurses in their work place. Therefore it is very dangerous to work in our hospital especially in night because of the recurrent attacks of group armies.

Most of the populations of our area are famers but no longer accessing their fields fearing the threat and kidnaping of the group armies

.Since August 1st 2018 the deadly Ebola disease has been confirmed in our area and then complicated so much the humanitarian crisis in the insecure setting.

Every week the number of new cases and death are increasing, their health provider are facing the security challenges to trace the contacts of the confirmed cases and taking care of the environment of patients who tested positive.

Since the beginning of this Ebola outbreak 8 Ebola Treatment Center have been under gunfire by attacker who killed and injured many people including the polices and the health provider worker .

The health providers are working very stressfully and demotivated since most of them have never received the government allowance.

Given the challenges of trying to contain this Ebola outbreak it is intended that it will continue for many months. The health provider will continue to be exhausted in this complicated context.

The aim of this fundraising is to try raising 15000$ to assist the health worker in the frontline of this very complicated humanitarian. We thank you very much for your learning hopeful you will send your donation or share our campaign with your network.

Best regards

  • I have followed the work of Elie and his colleagues since he attended the International Council of Nurses' Global Nursing Leadership Institute in 2016. I am in awe of their courage and dedication in the most heartbreaking circumstances. We have to end global greed and corruption, and fight for peace!
