Need Help to visit family back Home

Background Info

My friend, Daniel Swersky, moved to the U.S. at 20-years-old with $400 in his bank account and a dream to become a successful entrepenuer. He and his best friend walked the streets of New York City day and night looking for a job. Money became so sparse that they even resorted to eating out of the trash! Finally, he found a job in a restaurant working 72 hours a week and managed to set up a life for himself. To say that Daniel has had a difficult life would be an understatement. His mother committed suicide when he was 8 years old, his grandfather (who raised him from a baby) died in his sleep with Daniel lying next to him, and his best friend who he moved to the U.S. with was stabbed to death in South Africa.

My Goal

Daniel has not been home in 2 years to see his family and most importantly his friends. He's so focused on being successful in America and trying to make rent every month that he's losing the time to Skype or even Facebook chat. I know going home would make a world of a difference in regaining the energy to continue and not give up on his dream. 

A plane ticket to South Africa is wildly expensive- ranging from $1,500 to $2,700. 

I want to raise $2,000 for Daniel to go home and spark that flame inside his core. Any help whether it be $10 or $100 would be greatly appreciated!
