Hi,

I am a single mother writing here because our family is in desperate for food, for expenses as we have so little to live on and yet normally I would have a job that paid us enough to live to have holidays, to have days out, to run a car.

The truth is we have nothing, not a penny in the bank to buy food right now, we have lived on potatoes, rice, pasta now for the past 3 weeks as I balance the books for keeping a roof over our heads and most of the major bills paid, no frills and no car.To qualify for council or welfare housing I have had to be in this area for over 10 years, well I moved here for a job that I did and was unfairly pushed out by jealous individuals.

I am a highly skilled individual and have many years experience within industry at medium to high level. Yet having applied for over 380 jobs over the past year, I have not secured one job, not been offered one and when agencies have given me feedback and I have changed the CV or cover letter or both or have had feedback to re-write it, the industry has declined to take women as it is deemed we do not have enough practical hands on experience. Well I, unusually do.I continue to apply for jobs even now as there is no way forward without food while I feed my children and I on about £10.00/week for food.

I think the way the country is right now is detrimental to our future and is not able to sustain me or my children, and I need help and support to move to Europe where there are better opportunities open to myself to secure and finance our family.

All help is gratefully received.

Thanks,

Denise
