Need hand to cover tuition and fees

My name is Zarina Abdullaeva, a person who wants to live in a better world with a big hope that we are one big family, which will be somewhere around to help when you need it. Few months ago I got an offer from Lancaster University to study MSc Project Management. I was so happy and excited, but the reality is I have no funds to do the course. The course is to start in October already while I am still struggling to find funding to be able to start and complete the course. I have applied for a scholarship but my application was unsuccessful.

I am willing to continue my education to start making real changes and show others that they are not alone with their troubles. I am keen to gain knowledge and help others, my life path has not been easy but getting through the difficulties made me stronger and more dedicated to help and share my experience with other women.

I am a professional woman from a developing country with limited opportunities, I need funding to use this opportunity to allow me to fulfill my dreams of helping women in rural areas of my home country, the Kyrgyz Republic. In the Kyrgyz Republic, the role of women is quite difficult when compared with many of their counterparts in the West as their rights are often limited and they face discrimination much more frequently. Women in major cities such as Bishkek, face this to some degree, but the situation in smaller cities or villages is especially poor. Many women face physical abuse and all types of humiliation from their husbands. Some women have no choice and suffer through living with them, while some eventual divorce. However, those that divorce are severely discriminated against in the community and are left with nothing with which to support themselves and their children.

In my own experience as a divorced woman, I understand what it is like and I know these women need greater access to advocacy to obtain basic rights after divorce, as well as psychological support. Therefore, I would like to start a rehabilitation center and implement community projects which would holistically support divorced women as they seek better lives for themselves and for their children. I need your help by funding me so I could learn how to help those women to get all required resources to find their place in life after divorce.

I’ve spent lots of time searching for funding and bursaries for single mothers from Kyrgyzstan to cover my tuition fee and other related expenses, send lots of emails and messages, but unfortunately, in 30% of all answers I was not eligible to get funding, 20% of them just rejected my application and 50% – simply ignored, as most of grants and bursaries are available for US, EU, and UK students, but none or very few for people from developing countries.

My request for help is not only for me but for those waiting for support and guidance.
