Need a down payment for a house!

Hi everyone!

This picture is of my nieces and nephews. My sister, Shannon, has six children between herself and her husband. While I understand this isn't anyone else's problem, we would greatly appreciate any help you can give. My sister lives lives in a small house that is not nearly enough room for six growing children. She's taken a big step and has been paying off her old student loan debt, but she still needs to try to save for a down payment on a house. Her estimated closing costs are over $4,000, and the amount is quite daunting. My niece, Abby, has down syndrome and the medical costs are fairly high with therapy. Shannon has always wanted to be a teacher but she doesn't qualify for student loans due to bad credit. This forced her to drop out to pay off debt in order to get loans. It's quite the catch-22. I would love to help her get back to school and to get into a house where they can focus on being a family.
