NEDA – National Eating Disorders Association

Eating disorders are serious illnesses where the person suffering is no longer in control. Their mind controls them. A lot of the time, they are shrugged off because they are not as common as cancer. However, it is as deadly as cancer. I've lost a loved one to anorexia and I currently have a family member going through recovery. Her child has suffered from her eating disorder beause her mother was afraid to feed her, she thought it was normal to eat a fistful of food a day. I am passionate about this cause and wish to reach out to those families and victims who are overlooked and too afraid to ask for help. I want to raise awareness and help the children who suffer and lose their parents to eating disorders. The Marine Corps has kept me away from the cause and I'm happy to say this is my first year supporting NEDA. Please reach a hand to those in need and make a difference in someone's life.
