Young Minds and Cancer Research – NCS Betsy’s Bois’ Social Action

We are a group of young people currently taking part in the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme with Groundwork Sunderland looking to raise money for the Young Minds Mental Health Charity and Cancer Research UK. As a team we have chosen these two charities as they have affected a lot of people in our groups lives and many people in the community.

Young Minds is the UK's leading charity fighting for children and young people's mental health. They make sure all young people get the best possible care and support needed.

Cancer Research UK helps people who are being affected by cancer and they help them get through the process.

All the money we raise will be shared between these two charities. To raise money we will be doing a sponsored walk from Penshaw Monument to Grey's Monument in Newcastle, a bake sale at St Johns church (Sunderland) and St Nicholas church (Sunderland) and a charity football match. These events will take place between the 11th and 14th of August.
