Campaign Story
Naya was received into foster care after her owner died. She was abandoned following his death and had been chained for all,of her life . The sad thing is the message received today from Maxine Nayas foster mum. I have taken Naya to the vet today to look at the mammary gland tumours. They are 3 tumours about the size of a football each. She is booked in for an operation next monday to take the tumours on her right side. If there is time they will also take the tumour on her left side. A sample will be sent to the laboratory in Stara Zagora to determine if the tumours are malignant .The cost for the operation. The operation will take 4-5 hours. If they cannot do both sides, Naya will go back in 4 weeks for the next operation. After the removal of the tumours she will receive chemotherapy via tablets for 40 days. If the operation can be done in 1 go the cost will be 200 lev. If not then an additional 140 lev will be charged for the second operation.
Ok so you may think why bother we have no choice re the operations. She cannot live like this. She is in pain and if these tumours are cancerous there is always a chance that it has already spread to her lungs and bones. There is always a risk with operations on this scale, but we think she is such a lovely girl we want to give her a chance.
