Navuh Regenerative Resort
A healthy local economy is essential for a sustainable and livable community. It provides the resources that allow residents and community to prosper. It brings employment and leads to healthier lifestyles and greater opportunities for personal fulfillment. With a strong economy we can achieve a higher standard of development, provide more services and enjoy an overall higher quality of life.
A thriving economy does not have to be at the expense of our environment and community interests. In fact, Navuh Resort supports growth and development that is integrated with environmental and social considerations. Navuh Resort also recognizes that a strong economy can be a vehicle for change. With imposing global challenges such as climate change, sustainable economic practices can be the catalyst for a greener way of thinking and living.
At its core, economic sustainability is about satisfying the diverse needs of a community; it is about livelihood and service; it is about how Navuh Resort chooses to utilize our resources while taking into consideration how those choices will affect future generations.
The planning, design, operation and maintenance of Navuh Resort considers the diversity of issues and benefits that impact a community. These include but are not limited to: quality of life, health, equity, livability and inclusion. Setting targets for change allow Navuh Resort to work towards specific, achievable goals.

Community Partnership
At RDK we believe that the success of any project is dependent upon full community support and partnership. In our earliest planning stages, we have begun to engage the local community through the Chamber of Commerce and Bluffton town government to ensure alignment with our project and the community goals. As we move forward, the local community will be engaged further to ensure our understanding of community goals, needs and concerns. This approach creates several mutual benefits including:
? Community support
? Potential employees can engage early on, therefore feeling a sense of ownership and pride
? Both the resort and the community benefit financially from a partnership
? Early education regarding RDK principals resulting in stakeholders who are supportive of the
RDK mission
As the project moves forward, RDK will, in cooperation with local interests, create a comprehensive strategy for community engagement and feedback.
Customer Profile and Marketing Plan
Navuh Resort will actively market to guests who are aligned with the concept of environmental and social awareness through guest recommendations and direct marketing strategies. It is easier to sell a concept, particularly at a premium price point, to guests who already believe in the underlying values rather than spend advertising dollars on the difficult task to “convert non-believers”. Navuh Resort will be small and exclusive enough so that cultivating existing “believers” should generate sufficient demand.
Our target guests share the following characteristics:
? Willingness to pay a premium for products/experiences where environmental and social
sustainability issues are involved
? Accepting of non-traditional concept of “luxury”
? Interest in nature-based tourism, eco-tourism or cultural tourism
There are two approaches Navuh Resort can take to acquire guests with the above characteristics:
? Word of mouth, utilizing web-based social networking and industry tools
? Direct marketing including purchase of customer lists, education travel programs
