Dear friends and family,
I have recently been selected for the national team that will participate in the Universiades in Kazan, Russia, in July 2013. This is a dream come true for me, after some hard years due to back to back knee injuries. The Universiades is an international sporting event that is staged every two years in a different city and it is very much like the Olympics. It is composed of 20 different sports, with more than 13,500 athletes and members of delegations from 170 countries all over the world.
Travelling to Kazan and participating in the even will cost $4000-$5000 (transportation to the training camp in Western Canada, transportation to Russia, food, lodging, etc. I will receive some assistance, but this financial commitment is unrealistic to achieve unless other sources of financial support are found. Please feel free to help me reach my goal by either donating directly to me or referring me to potential sponsors.
