Help Nathan Finish Fall Semester 2018

Hi! My name is Nathan Cozart, and I need your help! I am a freshman at George Mason University where I am study accounting. I want to use my education to help people who may be struggling with their finances. My goal is to become a Certified Public Accountant and offer services to help those who are less fortunate to manage their finances, set and attain their financial goals, and become financially adept.

My parents recently divorced, and cannot provide financial support for my college education at this time. So, I know from personal experience over the past 10 years the effect of not having enough funds while trying to make ends meet for the basic things in life.

I've worked over the past two years during school year and the summer breaks. This summer I've worked almost everyday and many double shifts to help support my family and still save for college. My mother has been working hard as well to support us four and still help me with my tuition bills.

I am a National Honor Society member, National Beta Club member, Quill and Scroll member, and I completed the Advanced College Academy program, earning an Associate's Degree in Social Sciences. Even with all my credentials, credits, financial aid, grants and a personal loan, I am still short about $5500.00 each semester this year.

I know I must work while attending school, but am on the waiting list for a work-study assignment and awaiting calls for interviews for applications I have submitted. I have moved in my dorm, have a payment plan established, and have already paid most of the 1st installment due by Monday, August 27th. I am short by $120.00.

The remaining payments are $1835.34 due on September 20th and $1835.34 again on October 20th.
