Nathan vs the no good monster

Update posted by Samantha Higham On Jul 03, 2017

It has been just under two months since this website was set up for us and in that time Nathan has had brain surgery, moved to Memphis and received 27 out of his 30 rounds of Chemo. He is doing well. He has such fight in him every day and never gives in.

We still have 7 months of Chemo to endure but we are so blessed by how much support we have been shown by those we know and love all the way through to strangers we have never met.

I am closing this site down now as we really have been blessed by support and will be focussing my efforts on getting Nathan through the Chemo and well and raising funds for St Jude's who do amazing work.

Thank you again for all of your support and love

Nearly two months have passed since this site was set up and in that time we have moved to Memphis, Nathan has received 27 out of his 30 radiation treatments and it seems fitting that, this week on Independence day he will have his last radiation treatment. We have been blessed by the out pouring of support and love that we have been shown not just by those who know us but even perfect strangers. He has a very long way to go with over 7 rounds of chemo to endure. But no greater fighter have I ever known and we will beat this. I will be shutting this fundraising down now because as I said we really have been very blessed and I will be using my time here whilst in Memphis not only focusing on Nathan but raising funds for St Jude's who has not only taken us in but are just a fabulous organistion so that other families who do not have the sort of support we have can be helped.

Thank you all again and I will keep updates posted over the next year on his progress.

God bless you all

I wanted to send a huge thank you for all the love and support we have been shown by each of you. Nathan was discharged from Hospital last week Wednesday and has had some good time at home not being poked and prodded getting his strength back. He lost a tone of weight in Hospital so we are focused on getting his weight back on track before we start the next steps.

Late last week we got verbal confirmation from St Jude's hospital in Memphis that they are willing to take the case on. We are taking this as a sign of hope. We will leave Thursday and kick things off on Friday morning at the hospital.

He is such a fighter and I am determined we have to fight and we haveto win against this aweful disease!

Wishing you all tons of strength Sam! You’ll make it happen!
