Nate’s New Computer for Zelda Informer and College

On September 21st, 2016 I came home from my second job looking forward to getting some work done as Editor-In-Chief of Zelda Informer. There was a bad storm all day, and it ended up surging so hard it fried my surge protector and my computer and monitors. Over $2000 worth of equipment gone without any fault to myself.

Everything is out of warranty, and beyond Zelda Informer and video editing, I also used that computer for my college courses dealing with heavy video game programming.

Normally I'd just save up to replace everything, but I am now a father of three with a full house to support living paycheck to paycheck - most of what I owned came from a few years ago when I had less kids and more disposable income. I didn't realize how much I actually rely on that equipment for schoool and making a living until now. Without notice, it's all gone.

This fund raiser is my hope that the ZI community can be compassionate enough to help me get a nice new computer and accessories to continue my schooling and ensure only the best possible work at Zelda Informer. In fact, I may even build the computer myself and do a full livestream from a friends place so you can watch me build what your lovely donations have helped support.

Right now, I'm fairly stunned. I got knocked down. I'm hoping you can help me back up so I can continue to make a living doing what I love to do, making amazing content at Zelda Informer, and being able to support myself and my family doing something I love, a rare thing in today's world.
