Campaign Story
Education is the Right of Every Child
Some children will continue their lessons on Skype during this Covid-19 outbreak, but there are millions of others that simply do not have that option. Some will be forced to take up jobs, others might be forced into unlawful child marriages. There will be tens and thousands of teachers out of work wondering how they can feed their own children.
We can't help them all, but let's start with a few. Named after my two very strong and inspirational grandmothers: Nasreen and Mehmooda Begam, this scholarship fund aims to ensure education continuity for the most vulnerable. Your donations will go to Pakistan Grammar Foundation School (Peshawar Road, Rawalpindi) and will be used to cover school fees, books, stationary, uniforms, interest classes like Arts/ PE/ Music/ IT.
Last year, Ayesha Bashir and Nasir Sultan (pictured) were awarded the scholarship for their outstanding merit, along with Samina, and Sadia Rub Nawaz. Every little contribution counts, thank you!
