Campaign Story
Due to a hole in her heart (Ventricular Septal Defect), Nanay Lyd now also suffers liver cirrhosis and other internal organ complications.
Her heart does not pump correctly and leaves unnecessary blood and water in her liver. She already underwent two paracentesis procedures but the doctors said that her condition is not improving.
Her enlarged heart gives her difficulty in breathing and sleepless nights. She was also diagnosed to have severe cardiac pulmonary condition.
Water retention in her liver caused swollen feet which affects her ability to walk. She cannot do things on her own anymore: walk, bathe, change clothes, restroom call, and needs assistance when eating.
Yesterday, she was recommended to undergo hemodialysis. The doctors said that it will be part of her maintenance medication.
Nanay Lyd is a 57 year-old retired public school teacher. Her maintenance medication and procedures are costly and we have exhausted our resources as well.

Day 2: A Big Smile
Update posted by Geryly Palambiano at 05:06 amContinuously getting better, it’s her second day of dialysis. We’re already cash basis in the hospital, we buy costly meds in the pharmacy and have to pay dialysis in cash. Praying that we’ll be discharged soon.
Hemodialysis: Day One
Update posted by Geryly Palambiano at 06:36 am10 January 2019At 8:30 AM, Catherter Insertion started and it was successfully done by 9:24am. Nanay was so brave because I was not allowed to go inside the operating room. Dialysis started at 10am and after 4 hours, we’re with nanay Lyd’s first session of dialysis. Thank God and thank
