Many have been asking if they could offer some help for the girls during this really difficult time. I don't like to ask for anything for ourselves but to be honest I could use some help. Whatever is not used for the girls will be donated to our rescue to help the special needs dogs who are in our care.

Nana and Nala Marie are having a lot of old lady issues. Nana has calcium on her spine, and bad knees. Nala Marie has an enlarged heart which can cause death.

Nana will need to start acupuncture or cold laser therapy depending upon what makes more sense for her, or what will work for her. Treatments for acupuncture will cost around $800 for the consult and 5 treatments, she will likely need more but depending upon how it goes she will either continue or we will try cold laser therapy which is even more expensive. Her medications cost over $200 a month, her initial hospital bill and second opinion was $1,000 plus all of the extras needed to care for her, medical grade wee wee pads, washable hospital pads, diapers and some cheap rugs for traction. Her new harness cost around $200 with all of the attachments to help her get down the stairs to go outside.

Nala Marie has an enlarged heart, her initial vet visit to run basic diagnostics (X-rays, blood pressure, super chem blood panel) was $500, the cardiologist will be around $800, then follow up care with Dr Morgan who will design a heart healthy diet for her and homeopathic supplements will easily run another $400. I have no idea how much medication will cost because we haven't gotten to that point yet since we haven't seen the cardiologist. We caught it early so while it's a horrible diagnosis we can do a lot to prolong her life.

My dogs mean the world to me and I would do anything in my power to help them. All of this has been extremely stressful and is taking a toll on me both emotionally and financially.

If you can help it would be greatly appreciated but I don't expect anyone to help. I do appreciate all of the kind words and support just as much, I understand everyone has their own personal struggles and I don't want anyone to feel obligated.
