Nala has an umbilical hernia that can swell up to the size of a golf ball. If left untreated she could die a painful death. :(I rescued Nala from a back yard kitten breeder who was trying to sell her on Craigslist. She came from a house that was basically a hording situation with many cats and kittens, junk, dogs, etc. At the time I didn't care that I was supporting this lady by paying the discounted price for Nala, (discounted! Like she was a defective product) I wanted to save her and make sure she wasn't thrown outside or in a shelter like she's a piece of trash just because of her condition. Nala is 12 weeks old and doesn't let her condition get in the way of her life. Nala was born with an umbilical hernia. She has a nickel sized hole on her stomach. "An umbilical hernia is a condition in which abdominal contents protrude through the abdominal wall at the area of the belly button" Basically, her intestines are spilling out of her abdomen. Not nice at all! If left untreated her intestines could accidentally loop and cause her blood circulation to be cut off and it could cause her to die. I am asking for help because I want her to have a good life here and to get the care she deserves. She is such a loving cat and I love her with all my heart. The money will be used to fix Nala's hernia, spay her, get a physical exam and basic tests done to make sure she is 100% healthy. The money will also be used for her future care (high quality food, vet visits, vaccines, etc) and I would also like to rescue more cats and kittens. (We recently rescued a 5 week old kitten and raised her until she was 8 weeks and then found her a forever home :) ) Anything helps! Please help this sweet loving kitten.
