This dog was dumped on the side of the road in Bulgaria, severely abused, paralyzed and left to die. Daniela from Love for Animals Foundation met her just before Christmas last year and decided to give her a chance. She was named Nadejda which means Hope. So what followed was just the beginning of a long long road for our amazing Nadia - her first bath and warm jacket, endless visits to different vets, scans, antibiotics, treatments, massages, special food etc. She stayed at a vet clinic in Stara Zagora for nearly two months where she was vaccinated and treated for ehrlichiosis and anaplasmosis and we visited every day to feed, clean, exercise, massage, hug and love her. Nadia also underwent spinal decompression surgery at the Central Veterinary Clinic in Sofia and she came out of it even stronger and ready to fight for her happiness. Nadia has come a long way from being one terrified helpless pup to the confident curious dog she is today. The only chance Nadia has to walk again is to go through extensive physio and hydro therapy. She has been at the Physiotherapy Centre of Dobro Hrumvane Vet Clinic in Sofia for more than a month and has made remarkable progress so far. Her front legs are much stronger, her posture has improved drastically and she is truly enjoying the procedures. The therapists recently started a new hydrotherapy program with her as she had to recover fully from her back operation first. Everybody can see big improvement in her condition and our hopes are even higher now ! Unfortunately full recovery will be a long process due to the long term trauma which led to the paralysis but this is the only way for Nadia, we can’t just give up on her now. The cost of a month’s stay at the clinic is more than 600 euro and therapists recommend at least 3 months of continuous therapy. We have managed to pay all her expenses until now through donations and personal funding but it’s becoming more and more difficult to raise that kind of money. So I decided to start this fundraising initiative on behalf of Love for Animals Foundation and everybody involved in Nadia’s recovery. This is my personal plea for help too, as I can never forget the helpless look in Nadias eyes the first time I saw her. Please help me help our miracle girl Nadia! No donation is too small and every cent counts. We are living through difficult times right now and not everybody is able to help financially but you can still help by sharing the link below. Let’s show Nadia that this world is not the cruel place she has known until now and provide her with the loving care and kindness she so deserves!
Thank you in advance for your support!
