Help Nadene Help Elephants in India

Hello! I'm Nadene, and I will be volunteering with Volunteering Solutions in an elephant village in India come July of this year.

This volunteer project will allow me to interact with and care for elephants in the city of Jaipur. I will be assisting the mahouts (caretakers) in feeding the elephants, preparing their food, bathing them, etc. This project will also give me the opportunity to interact with the locals, i.e. the families and children of the mahouts.

Elephants are one of the many species that are declared endangered, that is why it is important for people to be actively involved in their conservation. Volunteer action can truly benefit the survival of the elephant species.

I hope you'll find this project worthwhile. Remember: there is no amount too small - every cent, every dollar is a step nearer to the elephants in Jaipur!
