NABBA/WFF World Championships California

My Name is Vicky Nash, a driven and motivated 42 year old, devoted Mom to three beautiful children: 16 year old Liam and 9 year old twins Luke and Madison.

My children are the centre of my universe and everything I do is to hopefully inspire them to be brave, conquer fears and believe that regardless of any setbacks, your dreams are always possible to achieve. In addition to being a full time Mom, I am a personal trainer providing personalized fitness coaching at Dynamic Health in Fourways, mentoring and encouraging people just like me, to achieve their fitness goals.

Fitness and training have always played an important part of my life. It played an intricate role in my development as a young women growing up, trying to find my place in the big world.

Karate and athletics were my chosen outlets and I was fortunate enough to excel in both. This led me to study Sports Science and Marketing, which cemented the already burning passion I have for sports and people.

There is no doubt in my mind that sport can change lives. People can draw on the inspiration of others who achieve in the sports world and use that to motivate their lives and help them to find direction and purpose, regardless of their personal or professional situations.

This was my aim when I started this fitness journey 12 weeks ago, not only for me but for my children and the people around me who could draw inspiration from my courage and perseverance.

For those who know me, the thought of being on stage in nothing more than a bikini and neck breaking stilettos, in front of an auditorium full of strangers put me way out of my comfort zone. But I had a goal in mind and I am not one for giving up easily. Once I have set my mind to something I go for it, all out! So on September 1st 2018, I decided to break that shackle of fear and mustered all of my courage and strength, took to the stage and incredibly placed 1^st in my division, earning an invite to take part in the South African National Championships.

The SA Nationals were on September 29^th. I went into Nationals feeling in much better condition and was proud to achieve 2^nd place, opening a door for me to form part of a select few to receive an invite to the NABBA/WFF World Championships in California on the 3^rd and 4^th of November 2018.

This is an achievement I never thought possible, after all this was my 2^nd competition experience!

It is hard to believe that a mere 12 weeks ago I started a journey, the outcome of which feels like a dream.

I am totally taken by surprise and I now find myself needing funding and looking for Sponsorships. Supplements, money for travel, accommodation, competition fees and sundries; the list is endless. What I really need is a sponsorship of between R60 000 and R75000.00!
