Dear friends and family of the Mystic House, High Five Kiteschool and the Surf House,

It’s your kitesurfing family from Cape Town, the best and most beautiful kitesurfing destination in the world. We want to connect with you during these crazy times and let you know what we are up to. In South Africa we are still living under one of the world’s strictest nationwide lockdowns.

Due to the (economic) consequences of the pandemic a huge part of the South African population has lost their jobs. For many families that means “no income - no food”. This also affects people who are close to us and that we all know. Most of you know Zoe, the good soul of the Mystic House and High Five. Due to the fact that Zoe is not allowed to come to work, she has been volunteering in the self-organized “Khayelitsha Community Action Network” from her neighborhood in the informal settlements (“townships”).

“Khayelitsha public CAN, our local initiative of Cape Town Together - a rapid community response to COVID-19. We are made up of people from all over Khayelitsha coming together to (self-) organize, take local action, and develop ways to share resources.“

The project has set up soup kitchens for kids in Khayelitsha and they provide the communities with hygiene products, food parcels and more. Zoe volunteers in the project herself for four days a week. Everyone who is involved in the project is volunteering like Zoe and donations are converted 100% into direct help for the community. We would like to invite you guys to join us and make a difference by supporting them. Let’s donate, share this fundraise on social media and ask friends/family to help. Every little help matters.

Thanks to everyone who supports this campaign and lives the value of a worldwide family of crazy kitesurfers, surfers and other adrenaline addicts with us.

One Love from Cape Town,

The Mystic House Crew
