My Sister’s Chemotherapy

To our dearest family and friends here and abroad,

We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for being alongside with us during our sister's (Mench) battle for her health.

Last June, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma a form of cancer that affects the lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell that plays an important role in the immune system.

Earlier this year her health began to deteriorate and alarming. Some of you may have noticed changes in her physical appearance while she became very sensitive with everything around her. Showing symptoms like weight loss, severe coughing, body itching, and even hair loss made sense. Not to mention the emotional and mental stress she needs to deal with.

She's 26 years old with a very lovely daughter who still needs her. It is truly heartbreaking but to those who really knew her, she's a true fighter.

We decided to keep it private at first 'cos we know everyone is having a hard time during this global pandemic.

We don't know how to say this but despite me and my brother being repatriated from our job contracts maybe God really has a plan. Keeping us all together, --family as a whole in this very trying situation.

It is a great relief that after some tests, the doctors announced that her case is considered one of the most treatable among cancers. A light at the end of the tunnel or knowing that we have a good chance in this battle.

To each and everyone of you who showed us love and support, we couldn't be more thankful! We have made it so far that Mench already finished half of her 12 chemotherapy sessions.

Still a long way but we are already beyond greatful with your sacrifices and assistance to our dear sister.

Thank you very much for making this possible!!

Please let's all continue supporting her until the day she become a 101% healthy again for Kayra.
