My Papa’s Battle Against Covid-19

Hello everyone. Currently, my beloved father is in the ICU battling COVID-19 that caused bilateral pneumonia. He was intubated yesterday and is now fighting for his life like a champ.

Last August 21, 2020, my father arrived home from work with a high fever, runny nose and intense coughing. We didn't know what it was then but given the situation that we are in, we made the decision to care for him in isolation. He stayed in his room for the next few days. Mama brought his meals, vitamins, medicines and everything to him. Despite the warm meals, care and vitamins that we gave him, he still wasn't getting any better. He experienced difficulty in breathing last August 27, 2020 and we bought an oxygen tank to ease this but it wasn't very helpful. We decided to rush him to a hospital as soon as possible.

He was admitted at VRP Medical Center in Mandaluyong the next day, August 28, 2020, as this was our only viable option. We called several hospitals namely Lourdes, East Ave, San Juan, UERM, Quirino, Commonwealth Hospital, Fe del Mundo, Lung Center, and even the DOH hotline but all said that they were already at full capacity and were no longer admitting patients with COVID-19.

Now only on his 4th day in the hospital (September 1, 2020), my father's bill has reached PHP 464,384.01. We really need your help in funding my father's treatment so that he can continue to fight for his life and come home to us healthy and fully recovered.
