MyCurrentMeds is a Patented Reference tool for patients who need help managing their prescription medications. This device eliminates confusion by displaying shapes, colors, and sizes using one dose of the medicine to assist identification of unique qualities with corresponding descriptions needed for proper use. If medicine changes, simply change an insert and replace the actual dose in the display pocket.

This is NOT a dispenser but a reference tool which communicates with EMT’ s if you are unable. It communicates with family if you are unable. A simple, easy to use guide for your current medications.

This tool is meant to help prevent adverse drug effects (ADE’s). Medication errors are a major problem in our country. According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), twenty nine ( 29% ) percent of Americans take 5 or more prescriptions. ADE’s account for 1.3 million Emergency Room visits annually and over 350,000 hospitalizations. These numbers are expected to grow.

Most medication errors ARE preventable.

This tool helps build confidence in elderly patients who want to remain independent. Additionally, any patient whose medication protocol frequently changes ( cancer, diabetes, cardiology, etc) will benefit from this product.

This fundraising is to provide working capital for product line expansion, and start a new marketing campaign to raise awareness of medication dangers
